All the Chez Passet FAQ's

What time is breakfast and dinner?

Breakfast is served daily between 7.30 and 9.00 am in the dining room or outside during the summer months. Dinner is served at 7.00 pm in the dining room.

What time is Check In and Check Out?

Check In - 4 pm and Check Out - 10.30 am. If you need a late check out or early check in, just ask and we’ll try our best to accommodate. If you arrive early without notice we may be out enjoying ourselves!

Can I socialize in my room?

Of course you can, however, respect that Chez Passet is for paying guests only and quiet hours are from 10 pm to 7 am.

Is there a guest laundry?

No, but we can wash clothes for you (€).

I have pet allergies, will that be a problem?

We don’t allow pets in the guest accommodation, however, we do have a golden labrador called Frankie who lives in the main house where breakfast and dinner are served.

What if I arrive late, will I be able to get in?

Yes, if you let us know in advance. The front door to the house is locked at 10 pm nightly and any time the house is unattended.

Is Chez Passet easy to find?

We have a pretty good description of the route on our Contact page, be advised however that some GPS devices will bring you in a different way and the road may be narrow....gotta love that!

Can I get picked up at the airport?

Yes, we pick up at Lourdes/Tarbes (€). Our shuttle will be available between 8am and 8pm, We also pick up at Toulouse and Pau (€)..

Can I bring my own food and wine?

You can bring snacks and beer/wine into your room. However, unfortunately we do not have cooking facilities for guests or fridges in rooms. We ask that you do not bring your own alcohol into the main house and stay away from the kitchen!

Do you cater to children?

Yes, but remember that dinner is a Table D’Hotes format where everyone eats the same food at the same time. When we cater for children we must take other diners into consideration and choose a menu accordingly. Please give us as much notice as possible along with what you child will and will not eat in order for Di to prepare an appropriate meal.

Do I need to book my meals in advance?

Yes, as Di puts a lot of effort into sourcing ingredients we ask for 48 hours notice for dinner reservations. While we try to accommodate everyone for dinner we may not be able to facilitate your request.

Are there restaurants in Lezignan?

Yes, we have a newly opened take away pizza place,and there are plenty in Lourdes which is a 5 min. drive from CP or 15 min. on our complimentary town bikes.

I am an avid cyclist and my partner is just beginning, is there something for both of us?

For sure, Cycling is for everyone! The terrain around us has everything from the highest Cols to rolling hills.

Do I need to bring my own bike?

Not necessarily but we would recommend it as there’s nothing like riding your own bike. Bike rentals are available in Lourdes.

If I come for a Signature Cycle Week do I have to ride every day?

No, you ride when you want to ride, remember it’s a holiday. If you don’t want to ride you are welcome to jump in the van and keep the rest of the group company or do your own thing like get a massage or go shopping.

Do you want a deposit?

To confirm your room reservation we require a non refundable deposit of 1 nights stay in advance. This deposit is taken as soon as you decide to book. You can pay your deposit via Paypal or via electronic bank transfer. Please note that Paypal charges a fee for this service.

How do I pay?

At the moment we are set up for cash, Paypal and electronic payments. We require the full balance of for your room to be paid 21 days prior to arrival (See the Prices page for cancellation details).

Can I pay with my credit card?

No, unfortunately due to the high charges involved and the small size of our business it just doesn’t work.

Can I pay using a bank transfer or wire transfer?

Yes. Although be very careful to ask whether an intermediary bank will be used. Often your bank will use an intermediary bank that takes an additional fee making it expensive. Overseas payers – please note that there are usually two sets of fees – one applied by your bank or transfer service, and another by the intermediary bank (who handles the transfer of currency before it arrives in our bank). Please ensure that you select the option to pay both these fees where possible. If we receive less than the expected deposit amount we will add the difference to the balance payment.

What are some of the things to do nearby?

There are plenty of activities to keep you busy, from Hiking to Golfing to Sightseeing to exploring the Historical Attractions ending the day with a soak in one of the many Thermal Baths located in the area. On a different note there's also rafting, hang-gliding, adventure parks and a zoo - plenty for everyone!

Is wine included with my dinner?

We provide a house red & white wine with your evening meal - should you wish to try something different, we also have a fairly extensive wine list for your perusal.

Where's the best cycling In The Pyrenees?

Some of the best cycling in the Pyrenees can be found all around Chez Passet. Most of the rides start from our front door and range from easy (flat) to hard (Hors-Catégorie)

Are you close to the famous "Pyrenean Tour de France" routes?

Yes, the Col du Tourmalet, Col d'Aubisque, Col du Soulor, Col de Marie-Blanque, Col d'Aspin, Hautacam, and Luz Ardiden can all be reached from Chez Passet (plus many other lesser known Cols).

Is your accommodation suitable for bicycle clubs or cycling groups?

Absolutely, we have 5 rooms which can sleep a max of 11 people. We offer secure bike storage, a bike maintenance and wash area and tools to help you look after your bike.

I'm looking for last minute Pyrenees accommodation - do you offer it?

Yes, of course, as long as Chez Passet has space, just let us know and we'll get a room ready for you.
