This past week saw a change in pace at Chez Passet - we held our " Four day Introduction to Wine Course", which was a great success.
The weather co-operated with sunny skies and glorious heat allowing everyone time to enjoy it before and after “class time”.
Our guests were treated to 3 hours instruction per day that covered all aspects of wine, from it’s history, to food and wine pairing and as we’re in France, the wines of France.
There were lots of laughs as the course was delivered in a typical "Chez Passet" fashion, plenty of wine tasting involved - the only one to spit was Di who had to cook dinner afterwards while everyone else finished the bottles and discussed the merits of each bottle...
The course came to an end with a visit to Chateau Bouscasse in Madiran where everyone was treated to an informative cellar tour and tasting followed by lunch at "La Prieure Restaurant" which was a treat sitting on the terrace enjoying the quiet and calm view of this region.
Many thanks to all that attended and we hope to see you again for another 'Wine Discovery Weekend".
A Change Of Pace At Chez Passet... change is good!!!
