Fall Fun In The Pyrenees...

So far it’s a fantastic fall for living in the Pyrenees – we had our last summer guests up until the end of October and since then we’ve been stealing as much time as we can away from our chores to explore the beauty of the area.

Di’s hiking up a storm, discovering new areas and showing me what’s “just around the corner” from Chez Passet – always amazes me to find little villages in the middle of nowhere where families have been living for which looks like generations…

I’ve been “Out and About” on the bike enjoying the tranquility of the area in the off-season – the trees are changing colour, leaves are on the road and the scenery is spectacular!

The back routes are almost empty and the pace of life in the Pyrenees has slowed down (at first I didn’t think that was possible!) so much so the cows (and their deposits) are now the number one obstacles to watch out for while I wind my way through the countryside…

We’ve a large list of work/repairs/renovation pending but for the moment there on hold while we take advantage of the Pyrenees and the fine weather that we’re enjoying.

And Frankie, she’s in her element, the corn is cut, the chestnuts, acorns apples and everything else that can be eaten are falling so for her it’s a buffet everywhere we go…
