Tis' the Season At Chez Passet....

Well, it's started... the build-up to the 2011 Tour de France....

The road works are  in full swing -  I love the roads after the TDF has come through as they are perrrfect...  smooth fresh pavement - yipee!!!

The Motorhomes are starting to cruise around looking for the ideal spot to catch the "circus" and the banners are up, proclaiming the TDF's coming to town... The phone is ringing with people looking for accommodation (we've been full since the dates were announced - although I do have a ruin at the end of the estate that could sleep 12 if you don't mind the open plan concept... there's not much there except bricks and rotten wood but beggars can't be choosers... I'm thinking about it...), the newspapers are full of the latest news on the riders conditions and everyone (thats French) thinks that this is the year that a Frenchman wins... Bonne Chance with that one... This year the finish line is 2 kms from Chez Passet (Stage 13) so I plan to take my townie bike in and catch the final sprint - if all goes well...

For me, this is the start of summer - bring it on!! Hope you enjoy it...
